The chance to ride the cable car is a not to be missed experience! When it is windy, the car rocks as it crosses the short distance to the island. Once on land again, take the road for an easy stroll. There are options for...More

If you are anyway into walking hill walking, hiking or just admiring stunning scenery, Dursey Island is a must. The Cable Car ride over is a great unique experience. If you are in Bears do t miss it.

Took the very unique cable car ride over and went on a fantastic walk around and over Dursey Island - approx 13kms in total. So peaceful and the scenery is magical. Well worth adding to any walking trips around West Cork.

A beautiful place full of history. Trip advisor has the wrong address. This place is at the end of the beara peninsula and many many miles away from crookhaven.
