We stayed a week with Wildmaker at the Kaltio cabin. Looking for an experience away from the crowds, getting to know the culture and local people, enjoying the true beauty of Finnish Lappland, staying in a cozy cabin in total quietness, we accidently found Wildmaker on the tourism homepage of Munio. We had no idea what to expect and how it is going to be - and were thrilled! When you go through the Wildmakers' homepage and read through the offers, THIS is exactly what you are going to get - and still it is far more than we ever could wish for. Valtteri is an outdoor guide from the bottom of his heart, knows exactly what he does and is very experienced. We loved his humour!
We learned so much in these few days on nature, the Finnish way of living and the animals living in Lappland, we enjoyed food prepared on the open fire tasting sooo yummie, we felt safe in any way and we were just by ourselves with our guides Valtteri and Aamu, a impressive young woman doing an internship at Wildmakers to become an outdoor guide. What we loved the most? Well, everything, because I am convinced there is no better way of staying in Finnish Lappland!
We will be back for sure and highly recommend Wildmaker to every nature loving person on this planet!

We were a party of 8, 3 generations with children 8 to 12.
We have loved all the activities. Valtteri and Aamu helped us all along the stay with kindness and precision, fixing some problems in the cabin, driving us to buy food, and teaching us about life in Lapland. The cabin stood isolated in the woods , close to a lake and with a sauna and a jacuzzi, a fireplace, just a dream. We were lucky enough to see northern lights 3 nights out of 5!
It was a great experience for all, not very physical yet a real adventure because of the cold.

Our family with two boys booked ice fishing. Valtteri went with us with snowmobile and sledge to a lake without any tourist trouble. First we built up a heated tent, but the weather was that fine so that we only used it for coffee break. Then Valtteri explained us everything about ice fishing with patience and lot of knowledge. We drilled our own hole and all of us caught many fishes. Hunting rate 100%. We had a lot of fun. Valtteri also helped us to prepare the fish to take home for our own dinner. It was very delightful. Valtteri, thank you so much for this unique experience. We had a great day out.

I was on a women's hiking trip with 15 women in Muonio, and Valtteri was the guide on three days in the fells and one day paddling. We peaked at Särkitunturi, Pallans Taivaskero and Keimiötunturi. Valtteri was a patient, relaxed, nice and professional guide. He encouraged asking questions related to equipment, sights, nature and living in Lapland. And answered them again and again. He gave tips for future hikes and gave good tips on where to go. He wasn't afraid of any quips. He took care of everyone and talked to all of us. On the plus side, he took pictures as a souvenir, even though he hadn't been asked in advance.

Wildmaker Lappi gave our women's hiking group unforgettable experiences in Tunturilappi in Muonio.

We had a fantastic stay in Lapland thanks to Valtteri (and Elina)! The hut we stayed in is spacious, renovated, very clean and very well equipped (there is also a wonderful sauna we used several times, plus a cosy fireplace). The location is great in the middle of nature (woods, lake) and there are big windows facing north so we could see northern lights comfortably from the living room. The activities (husky sledging, reindeer farm, snowshoeing, luxury ice fishing) are great and organized so that it was just ourselves and that we had a chance to meet and talk to local people, which was very interesting. And, most important thing, Valtteri is an amazing guide, very passionate about what he does, and makes sure you have everything you need and don't miss anything during your stay! And he cooks really well! Absolutely recommended if you want a great, customized and authentic experience in nature away from tourists. Thanks Valtteri and Elina!

Valtteri was a great and service-minded guide who took good care of every participant on the trip, from experienced hikers to beginners. Led by Valtteri, we spent three days in the fells and one day kayaking. The canoe trip was wonderfully and safely organized, and the fell hikes led by him were memorable. I highly recommend his individually tailored services.

We contacted Wildmaker Lapland for a custom canoeing adventure including a 4 day canoe rental and transportation to and from the starting and ending places.
Our trip started at Jerisjärvi and went trough Jerisjoki to Muonio. The route was unkown to us and we are beginners. We got some great info, tips and instructions as well as flexible service. The cost was very reasonable.
We highly recommend Wildmaker Lapland.

I went on a Hetta-Pallas hike with my dog. The scenery in Lapland was spectacular. In the peace of nature it was wonderful to spend time and calm down. It was great to see the reindeer moving calmly near people.
During the trip it was realive to know that Valtteri from Wildmaker is available all the time. I got good tips for a hiking trip from Valtteri. After the hike it was wonderful to get to a clean and comfortable cottage. The rides to the start and end of the Hetta-Pallas hike went effortlessly.

We had an awesome and stunning winter week in lapland 😍. The wooden hut was very cosy, especially the fireplace in the living room. The activities like icefishing, visiting the reindeer herds, the snowshoe trekking, nordern light spotting and the husky tour were unforgettable!!!! Wildmaker was very welcoming, caring, helped us to be perfectly prepared for the outdoors, patient, funny and professional. Thanks for creating such a personal, authentic and wonderful experience for us!
