An excellent introduction to the national park, with it's history, ecology, geology and zoology (a bit less botany) presented in a interesting and accessible way that obviously please both adults and children. The museum itself is not very large but packed with cleverly designed stands that make a good use of modern technology, while not forgetting stuffed animals and dioramas.... More

An informative series of exhibits about the geology and ecology of the national park, with good videos and excellent displays on the animal life in particular.

Before visiting the national park this museum gives a lot of useful information about the nature and history of it. You can have an audio guide (in several languages) and take the tour in your own pace by just entering the numbers at each item.

Big shop at the reception area, you get free brochures and maps and great hiking advise for tours from the staff. The museum is certainly very informative and starts with three movies showing the wonderful nature of the national park. You have a gadget where you press numbers on the displays and get the spoken information about the display. Must... More

This is the obvious information point where you can find information about the national park. Just book a guided tour of the national park, even if it's in german other visitor will be happy to translate and you won't need a translation when a "Steinbock" is spotted.

Must be a highly controversial piece of architecture being what appears to be a granite cube. Not what you'd call vernacular. Inside the three introductory film screens slow you down and get you into the mood for what follows. Superb photography. You visit the centre through audio devices switched to your own language and press the numbers corresponding to the... More

So many wonderful walks and if you're lucky you get to see a marmot, a chamois or just listening to the twitter of birds.

We liked that there was an audio guide in English. The exhibits represented what you would find within the park….flora, fauna, the different types of rock that make up the mountains and the seasonal changes…all were well done and easy to understand.
