The Breitachklamm is a river gorge in Bavaria/Austria. Especially in Spring and early Summer when a lot of water comes down from the mountains it is very beautiful to walk thru this spectacular mountain theater. Bring rain gear, it's gonna get wet ;)

Breitachklamm is a raging river through a chasm, cleft between massive rocks, Impressive drops, slippery in places, and lush vegetation in others, but always safe, The Breitachklamm is a must if you are in the region. A visit to the Breitachklamm can be an round trip (basically you return the same way you came), but it can also be topped... More

Well maintained trails lead through this amazing natural phenomenon. The waterfalls are frozen down the sides of the gorge in the winter.

We arrived at the right time on a Sunday morning-around 10am and we had no wait. When we arrived back a couple hours later after doing a loop trail through the gorge and then up and around through the countryside, there was a line of cars waiting to get into the parking lot. The line had to be 2 kilometres... More

As one little german lad said when he saw the frozen waterfall .....Wow... A truely magical place. It is 2km walk up and some bits are a bit steep but well worth it

What an awesome place, amazing what surprises nature creates for us to enjoy. A beautiful walk along a hidden river trail, deep chasms and roaring water, breathtaking

Breitachklamm is one of the best walks I've ever done. Plenty of options for short and long walks, with the most incredible scenery. The Klamm itself is incredible, with rushing waters and high cliffs, and the hillsides are gorgeous, a symphony for the eyes and ears, with the cow bells creating a lovely ambience.

Go early before the crowds! Very popular tourist destination. Well constructed walkways. Not good if you fear heights and sheer walls.

Not the most spectacular gorge, but very pretty. Took about 40 minutes to walk through. Walking from Riezlern makes a longer and more satisfying walk.

The path through the gorge is easy to hike and thus suitable also for less-sporty people or families. The scenery is really breath-taking when one considers what water manages to do given enough time. The problem is that hundreds of other people want to enjoy it at the same time as you and there is practically a non-stopping queue through... More
