I really enjoy running in the lane cove national Park as you have the nature and creeks and all of it. Some times I take my bike down there on the dirt tracks, so much fun!

Lane Cove National Park with its many walks, picnic spots, birds, trees and grand rocky outcrops is more than just another park. It is close to suburban life thus enabling easy retreat from the constant hustle and bustle of city life. Parking is reasonable, access is easy. There is a valuable worthwhile information centre. Choice of walks are many and... More

This national park is a great place to escape from all the hectic from the city. It was very surprising for me to find a place like that in such a big city. You feel really remote in there. It's great for bushwalking and you can spot some beautiful wildlife.

I highly recommend Lane Cove National Park for a leisurely stroll along the river, a picnic, or a bit of a paddle on a row boat from the Lane Cove Boatshed. There is plenty of shade and a small playground on the Lady Game Drive side of the park, near the park office. Parking is paid, but it is very... More

We stayed in the caravan park on a Saturday and went for a walk along the river. It was unreal how quiet it was concerning that we were still within a 10 mins drive of the city. Some great nature walks with some interesting wildlife. Once your in around the park or taking the track you will forget all about... More

Near Quest North Ryde where I was staying is this peaceful, well maintained park in natural splendor. My quiet, uninterrupted walk on a Saturday morning recharged my batteries as I listened to birdsong and admired the ghostly gums. This is the place for walkers and others who desire a little bit of nature close to the city.

Lane Cove National Park has some lovely drives on sealed roads running along the side of the Lane Cove River. This is right in the suburbs of Sydney. When you drive up to the park from any direction you approach via Sydney normal traffic and infrastructure which then opens up to amazing bush land which I am used to travelling... More
