A 5-day horse trekking trip around Pöyrisjärvi made a lasting impression and is something I will never forget. The horses were fantastic and we got to gallop on the soft sand and to swim with them in a lake. The versatile scenery and drinking from the rivers and creeks increased my profound appreciation towards the Finnish nature. Our guide (Tanja) was super attentive and her smile and laughter were true highlights of the trip. Everything worked perfectly (also thanks to Juha) and we had the feeling of trekking together as a group, not just being hosted as "tourists". Thank you, Päivi, for organising these experiences for us to enjoy!

Wonderful Day with Päivi. Super fun with the horses, reindeers and the dogs! Warm recommendations for anyone who like a clean and well-managed animal “farm”. Thanks again!

I booked the Reindeer & Husky Safari and at the time I didn't realise I booked a horse riding trip for the next day at the same place. Steps on the snow From the very beginning of the trip Janina who was looking after me was amazing. She was kind and patient and full of knowledge and made the experience fantastic. The location was easy to access, the staff were fantastic, there was a great atmosphere and every minute was memorable. It was a HUGE surprise having such an an amazing experience with lovely people and gorgeous animals. Reindeer & Husky Safari From pick up to drop off every single member of staff made the experience amazing. Kayleigh was looking after us with the huskies and she was so enthusiastic and friendly ! I would HIGHLY recommend both tours as I can't pick a favourite!

We did the 8km husky ride and it was absolutely amazing! The staff were all very friendly and informative, making sure we all knew what to do. We got to go and see some of the dogs in the kennels first, and then we went out on our safari - I was in the sledge first and my partner was driving, then you stop halfway round and swap over. I think you can only do that on the 8km and the 15km safaris, whereas the shorter ones only one of you drives, or you get driven by someone else. Would suggest you check when booking though. It was so cold, about -20, so you really do need to wrap up warm, but it’s worth it! They have extra thermals for you to borrow if needed. Then we went in to the little cabin after for hot berry juice and a biscuit. Short minibus trip from Levi - I think about 20-30 mins. Amazing, one of the highlights of our trip!

What an excellent experience, dashing through the snow on a husky pulled sleigh. Ride lasted about 30 mins, which was just enough as about-11outside. We were able to stroke the dogs after the ride. We were then taken to a log cabin and given hot juice and sausages and pancakes were cooked for us. Once we were warm out transport arrived. Great value for money and a wonderful experience.
