The temple was only 500m from our hotel and we went there in the evening. Was blessed to have darshan of lord Krishna and also watch the golden rath Yathra. we didn't had the food from the temple because of the long queue. Overall it was a nice experience.

This is my first visit to the temple...though my wife had visited the temple quite a few times...from the malpe beach it is around 8 to 9km and the auto on meter might cost you around 150 to 160. There is an auto stand at the malpe beach. We visited the temple at 6pm and by the Lord's grace the... More

Happened to visit the temple on an auspicious day and was lucky to receive the darshana of lord Krishna in a special avatar. Being a weekday, it was not too crowded and we could spend ample time praying in the temple. The temple does have something special as it calms the mind and brings about a wonderful spiritual experience. Must... More

The approach to the temple was totally dirty - parking lot was full of plastic covers and the entrance to the temple was stinking to say the least. Terrible experience while entering an age-old temple. Could not really have a good time after that. Pathetic!!!

There is something about Udupi and the Krishna temple that makes it an incredible spiritual experience for anyone visiting the town. The temple is administered by one of eight mutts by turn with each mutt running it for 2 years. The daily puja right from early morning to late night is performed by the clock. The aratis along with accompanying... More

Not a great fan of religion or anything. Pure atheist, yet when wife orders you to come along you gotta follow orders. But it was awesome to visit in evening. Puja along with so many musical instruments, temple decorated with so many candles was such a treat to eyes. Also there was Indian traditional singing program (krishna bhakti geethegalu) in... More

The whole area around the temple has become very clean now and looks good. Traffic in the area has been totally barred. Inside the temple, the ancient wooden carved top has been removed and a new wooden roof will come up with all the old style carvings. The "Kalyani" (the lake) too looks very clean and beautiful.

The temple is located in the heart of Udupi town and has a wonderful "Goshala"- where cows are reared. the temple deity of Lord Krishna has to be seen though a window and the place is generally free of crowd. we went on a Sunday and despite a queue of around 50 mts could have "darhsan" in 25 minutes due... Ensure you visit the 2 Shiva temples in front of the Lord Krishna temple before entering the Lord Krishna temple.
