This place is revered as the holiest place for Hindus with Lord Krishna as its main deity. This place has historical and mythological background as the whole city & the temple speaks of many folklore from ancient times. The temple invites people across all walks of life though and servers them free food throughout the year. The food is very... More

This is a must visit place for ardent Krishna devotees. The crowd can be bypassed during early morning or during the evening rath yatra. Fresh lunch/dinner is served everyday to all devotees between 12pm-3pm and 8pm-10pm at the bhojanalaya situated on the first floor. We were fortunate to see the lord waking up at 5am on a Thursday morning. The... More

This is a very old temple with lot of traditions; visited by thousands every day. No fee to enter the temple. There will be long queues. There are couple of other temples which are next door

Temple premises are maintained clean and proper arrangements will make the darshan easier. If you plan on going there without any prior arrangements, then you will end up standing in a very long queue and it will take hours for the darshan. Prior arrangements and proper planning is recommended.

Having a darshan of Lord Krishna is a wonderful experience. But it was too crowded when we went. The queue started miles away from the temple. Standing with kids there was no proper arrangements to check the crowd movement. As we neared the temple, people started pushing us. Happy to have got a quick darshan and got out.

This temple does not need any introduction, the idol made of black stone unlike many krishna idols you find in ISCKON etc. Surrounded by eight matts, this place is quite revered by many. vehicles are not allowed in rathbhidi. free meals are served to all who visit every day and one can expect a decent healthy meal. If you visit... More

Famous historic temple. It has three temples. We went during evening aarti. It was nice experience. Whole temple compound will be enlighten with diays during aarti which gives amazing view. Better to have a local guide to understand history of temple.
