There is a lot of stuff to sell here and cheap. Lots of clothes, tools, food, fruit, furniture, moterbike, bicycle, cows, buffalos, dogs, fish, everything. It's start from 5am. to 11.30 am. on the main road (Chiang mai-Hod Rd.) Every Saturday. So enjoy to visit!

It takes thirty minutes or so by tuktuk to get here, and as it's a massive market selling everything from lettuce to second hand mountain gear, it's busy and muddy. I was with two farm people who tell me the cows were well loved and looked after. Me, I enjoyed seeing the different breeds. We left our hotel at 8am,... More

Known as the Buffalo Market anything and everything can be bought here, you just have to find it in the mass of stores. Food, clothes, shoes, tools, electronics, motorbikes, pushbikes, fish, roosters, cows and yes buffalos to name... More

Coming from Chiangmai and arriving at the market which straddles both sides of the road, there is ample parking on the left side although the entrance to the parking is... More

When visiting Chiang Mai we always try to plan our trip so that we can visit the buffalo and cattle market at San Pa Tong on Saturdays. This means an early start from Chiang Mai - you really need to be at the market by 8 a.m. and it's about forty minutes' drive by car from the city. Most of... More

Go early on Saturday for this one. Not a bad scooter ride and great photo ops. This is a local market with few farongs That said it has motor bikes, the blue farmers pants and tops, sarongs, and of course water buffaloes. The buffalo auction starts early so if you are in the market for the real deal get there... More
