First, can I say that having the boathouse cafe open, with the boats and bouncy castle is fantastic. But. The council has cut too many corners on park maintenance. The lake is covered in green scum, and the whole place is overgrown. The volunteers do...More

Remains one of my favourite parks. Lots of pleasant, relaxing walking and lovely views. Parking can be a bit awkward but it’s worth the effort to take in the sights and tranquillity.

Lovely park to take the kids, play area good, but beware of the cafe £5.10 for 2 bog standard ice creams with a flake, total rip off!! £3 for bouncy castle but they do get half hour on so not too bad.

Locke Park seems to be underused perhaps because of its location in relation to the town and visitors coming and knowing about it. It's always uplifting to have a walk around the park at any time of year, seeing the lake with the ducks and...More

Brilliant fun with granddaughters rowing round the park lake then playing on the swings and climbing frames. Car parking was good and the walk to the attractions very pleasant, but highlight definitely the ride on the boat
