First visit and can't speak highly enough of this brilliant Owl Centre which is about so much more than owls. Our 7 yr grand-daughter loved it, especially being able to hand feed the rabbits, guinea-pigs and assorted fancy chickens which run freely around. Great variety of different birds to see, an entertaining flying display which also showcased the real connection... More

We stopped off at the Owl Centre on route to Saltburn. It was well worth a visit, as there was a good selection of Birds to see as well as Owls (although the Owls were my favourites !) Each unit had information about the Bird it contained & where they originated from along with other interesting facts ! Also there... More

If you have not done this and love meerkats it's a must. Fantastic experience to get so close to these amazing little creatures. I had a couple sat on my knee feeding 😀 It's then into the Education hut for a cuppa followed by meeting and learning about the owls, fantastic. The staff are brilliant and obviously very passionate about... More

This was my second visit here and it was just as good as the first. Craig & the staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. You never feel rushed .. meeting the meerkats and owls is the best experience ever

Visited the centre for the first time for a twilight owl experience. It was a very informative and enjoyable evening. We had a tour of the centre, watched some flying displays and then enjoyed hot soup and crusty bread while being able to handle some of the owls. The staff went over and beyond the initial two hours which we... More

Spent a lovely evening at Kirkleatham Owl Sanctuary. Started with a tour of the sanctuary; which was very informative and interesting. Then watched a wonderful flying display followed by refreshments and a chance to handle some of the owls. There's lots of other interesting birds and mammals at the centre from budgerigars, meerkats to storks. The volunteers are very friendly... More

I visited on a dull grey afternoon in February. The selection of birds was very interesting and cheered up my day. I loved the owls, hawks, cranes and to my mind, the stars, the pelicans. The flying display was very good, highlighting the different behaviors of the owls and hawks.
