A great view back in time

This museo tells the tale of the old life in the Mountains. For us Norwegians it is no problem to relate to this museo and its Objects, since it looks like old time Italia and old time Norway was much the same. The museo is biuld like a old home, and you are able to vist a old living room, the stables, the Downs stairs fridge and there is also some old folk costumes hanging there. We had an italian guide, but they might speak English as well, I am not sure. I recommend an hour here to have a feel of the old life in the italian alps.

Very interesting but VERY COLD in early February!

We were on a special tour led by Anton (I think that was his name). Very knowledgeable; very interesting to see and hear how life was for villagers, especially in winter and how food was stored, animals (ie. cows and goats) kept in-house for additional warmth (but the smell??!!). After the tour, Anton took us to his house where he provided a lovely selection of local meats and wine - which helped warm us up after freezing in the old farmhouse! Cost 10 euros - well worth every penny, I mean cent!!!

very interesting exhibition of mountain life as it was (no so long ago)

The exhibition gives quite a good idea on how life in Cogne was not so long ago for most part of the inhabitants. Both we as well as the children enjoyed it.

Fascinating view of life as it was
Aug 2015 • Couples
Most interesting museum featuring alpine life as it was and one particular local. very helpful young lady on reception. The museum, in common with others in the area, would have benefitted from even more English translations.
