Always get a driver whenever you want to go here. Let the driver do the talking for the entrance fee as they have local and foreigner price. We were lucky to get the local price otherwise the place is tooo OVERPRICE for us to go again. We were lucky to be able to see the magnificent Tangkuban Perahu again! The... More

Never see volcano in my life. It's my first time. WOW amazing view. Last erruption was late 2013, almost 16 month ago. Still we decided to go. It's 1830 m high so the weather was wonderful. You can touch the clouds. Many people and many vendors. You should be good in bargaining otherwise they will suck you.

Tips its near the city of Bandung which is about 3 hours away on a own vehicle. Leave early to arrive at the park. Try to visit kawah domas first on the park as it has a trek ad closes at 4.30PM. Park has 4 craters. Week day price for entrance was 225000 RP each. Weekends its 250000 for foreigners.... More

Firstly, this place costs 300,000 rp to visit! (£17, €22 or $25) (fyi that price is if you are a foreigner - you don't have an Indonesian id - locals go free) I turned around when I got there, but decided to go back as I had no other plans!! Firstly, you need to drive or get taxi there, best... More

Totally love the scenery here. It's cold but a place perfect for photographers! Disliked - being swarmed by the "ambassadors" of Tangkuban Perahu, urging us to buy the souvenirs, which are very expensive. Can just buy at Ciwalk.

We hiked around the crater. The small market in the beginning has excellent strawberries. The hike around the crater took us some two hours and is not so hard for any healthy person. Excellent views

I love the ride up to tangkuban perahu. Pine forest and cool air! Nice place to visit when its not cloudy. The sulphur smell isnt too bad. Plenty of souvenirs here. But pls note that the shops close and pack up in event of rain. They go home. Entrance is steep for tourists. Much much more than the locals.
