Taking the horse drawn canal boat is a wonderful way to see the wildlife and interesting places along the route. We even enjoyed afternoon tea with homemade cake aboard.

We just returned from a week on the K&A on a Foxhangers boat, the Tibetan fox. 2 adults, 4 children ranging from 6 years old, to 13 years old. Amazing week. Foxhangers gave us a 2 hour walk-through of the boat, and how to operate...More

We hired a 69ft narrowboat from Foxhangers at the bottom of Caen Hill locks, just for a long weekend, and when booking we were advised to head west towards Bradford on Avon, as it can take a long time getting up and down the 27...More

Although we thoroughly enjoyed our overall experience, the weather was kind and the route was perfect, the boat left a lot to be desired. Our trip started off badly. We arrived at the right time and my brother in law spoke to reception about where...More

We rode our bikes from Seend to Bath and back, about 40 miles, along a very well maintained tow and cycle path. The people we met were most friendly especially the lock keepers who gave us loads of information about the canal, its workings and...More

Hired a long boat from Sally's Narrowboats. The boat was well presented and clean. The gentleman greeted us and briefed brilliantly. The only downside was by lunchtime we realised the heating wasn't working. We tried 5 different contact numbers and left messages on all but...More

We traveled to the flight and then turned around as this was our trip and went to Bath on a five day break which was more than enough time. I would recommend two active people on the lock gates for comfort.
