I've loved this garden for many years. Its layout is an inspiration and it always use to give me a sense of peace.. however because it is deservedly much better known these days it gets busy, and I can no longer pretend that its my secret garden. Events here are lovely, we attended a summer garden party with a string... More

A truly delightful garden to see, on a Summer's afternoon. Although it is stated that 80% of the garden is accessible for wheel chair users I found this a little misleading, as the paths are very narrow and quick tricky in many places, some areas just too difficult. Pushing a wheelchair was jolly hard work and not enjoyable, taking the... More

We went over the August Bank holiday. A delightful garden, lots of different "rooms"to explore within the garden. It was immaculate. The visit was finished by a visit to the tea room. We sat outside and enjoyed the ambiance of the setting. The plant stall was good value.

We visited this garden after reading the trip advisor reviews. Overall, very good but not outstanding. The tearoom was very good and popular. As it was a nice sunny day there were a good number of butterflies nectarine on the flowers.

What a wonderful garden, full of exciting ideas, and unusual planting schemes. The entire place is inspirational, both planting and colour combinations are exceptional. Beautifully kept, but with a feeling of calm and welcome, and surprises around every corner.

Beautiful and inspirational garden, plan to visit again and again. Designed in a series of garden rooms, with clever focal points and well thought out planting. Stunning.

We visited today(Sunday)and I am bursting to write these comments. The garden is beautifully designed as a series of compartments which link together in clever ways. A visit during August is very worthwhile because so many of the herbaceous perennials are in full flower. The mix of species and varieties are blended with a great appreciation of colour and form.... I believe it was Chris Beardshaw who said this was his favourite garden and I can see why. What a stunning garden. We were on holiday in the area and used our BBC Gardeners World cards to get in 2 for 1 but it would be well worth paying the full price anyway. Such beauty and fabulously planted areas to... More

I have lived locally to these wonderful gardens for 30 years and this weekend was my first visit. I was totally blow away by the gardens and the property they are set around. The quality of design, planting and maintenance is staggering and I will definitely be returning for another visit. Well worth the £7 entrance fee. Great café to... More

What a wonderful evening and what a privilege ...only about 40 of us and a quick talk by the owner who kindly put all in context. The point about this very special place is that it has evolved sympathetically and imaginatively showcasing garden 'rooms' and shows what can be done in smaller sections. It is so clearly designed to wow... More
