The castle belongs to William Lobkowicz, a member of an old catholic bohemian noble family. In the castle is a wonderful gallery with old european masters such as Canaletto, Velasquez - infant Marguerita and many others.

As we entered the courtyard from our tour bus , we were greeted with a brass horn welcome. We were treated to Dvorak concert before we went upstairs to see period rooms. The rooms and furnishings were superb as were the art works. We especially liked the dining room, although the trophy room was certainly unique.

Pretty nice castle in Nelahozeves, which is owned by House of Lobkowitz. One of few castles, where you can really feel the atmosphere of the gold feudal ages. Only I would definitely not recommend is the restaurant within the castle,as we are waiting 50 minutes for standard lunch.

25km from Prague, just a few steps from the train station. The castle is an example of Renaissance style decorated with sgraffito designs. The castle houses part of the Lobkowicz collection of paintings(Canaletto,Velasquez,Rubens, Veronese). The 19th century composer Antonin Dvorak was born in Nelahozeves in 1841. You can visit his childhood home.

I recommend to visit the castle after the touring in other areas - such as Terezín Camp. It is nice relaxing stop, there are almost not people if you arrive at the afternoon. Need to book english tour ahead. There is also Castle Restaurant with great cheesecake. Beautiful place, quite and peaceful.

Nice small castle, about 25-30 minutes from Prague, with some interesting features like the library, a very nice 17th century telescope, some paintings, but not really astonishing. It was however a very nice location for a good dinner, with a medieval show for the tourist, but I would recommend to visit it only if you have some days available after... More

Our tour included a visit to Nelahozeves Castle, about 40 minutes north from Prague. It included lunch, a guided tour and wine-tasting. It was great to get out and see some of the countryside around Prague. The castle itself was impressive and in a lovely setting beside the Vitava River. Lunch was a set menu affair. I am a coeliac... We were lucky to have a very competent and friendly guide who showed us through this castle that is part-castle and part-home to the family that owns it (and also own a substantial part of the Czech Republic). Our tour included a wine tasting, which included some good quality wines.

The castle owned by the Lobkowitz noble family is in a small village where also the composer Antonín Dvořák was born (his memorial is next to the castle). The castle is decorated by lovely sgrafitti. The tour takes the visitors to private rooms beautifully furnished with historical furniture. They also visit the library, dining room, bedrooms, see many beautiful pictures... More

This castle owned by the Lobkowicz family is amazing, set in beautiful grounds. It's high above the Vltava River. A fabulous private art collection. You can do a wine tasting as well in the Great hall. Charming people. We had a wonderful lunch there.
