I feel so fortunate that I found Spanish in Nature through a Google search several years ago. I wasn't sure if what I was looking for existed, and it does, and it is even better than I could have imagined! I am a non-native Spanish teacher and I was looking for a place where I could improve my Spanish and where my kids, ages 4, 6, and 10 at the time, could learn Spanish too. I really wanted to live with a Spanish speaking family and not just stay at a hotel and take classes in a school. In the summer of 2017, my family and I lived with Alvaro, Esther, and their children and spent the most incredible week possible of linguistic and cultural immersion. We felt right at home from the start and by the end of the week, I could say that Alvaro and Esther were life-long friends. They made every effort to make our experience outstanding, and they were also extraordinarily accomodating of my young and sometimes disruptive children. We all have amazing memories of the experience. I was so impressed by the language experience that they could provide, that, a few years after my family's visit, I took a group of students from the high school where I teach. The students had an incredible trip and improved not only their skills but more importantly, their interest in learning Spanish. You can not go wrong choosing Spanish in Nature for a language immersion experience. I can't wait to go back!

I'm 37 years old and I spent 1 week with Esther and family in November 2019 to improve my very basic Spanish, it has been a great experience! Before getting there my doubts were about how it would feel to live 24/7 with a family within their house and also if my Spanish would really progress in just 1 week. In fact living in the house has been very easy and interaction with the family has been full of very interesting conversations, you have your space and the whole family is very friendly and easy going, we had a lot of interesting conversations. Regarding the classes they have been able to tailor made them to my needs which made me progress quite rapidly, moreover speaking the whole time Spanish during the day helped me a lot. They really make a great effort to make you speak the whole day;) On top of that the location is impressive and very relaxing and the house very cozy and clean. Concerning the activities I was able to decide what to do and had nice cultural visits and outdoor activities. I can warmly recommend Spanish in Nature!

I stayed a wonderful week in February 2016 with Esther, Alvaro and their children. I traveled to El Boalo for one week of “immersion into Spanish language”. After the email exchange before I traveled it was a 24/7 Spanish speaking experience. I have been made welcome like a member of the family, half day language classes have been accomplished with equal amounts of activity. The curriculum and the activities have been most adaptable to my needs and preferences. The learning and practicing was intense and productive. My hosts and teachers showed great patience in dealing with my mistakes. Learning was so enjoyable (in contrast to my not so fond memories from school times). The learning covered the whole day in all aspects. There are so many possible activities to accomplish the classes, that it would cover more tan a four week stay. Virtually any preference can be catered for. I climbed a mountain, saw vultures in a nature park, which was as spectacular as Yellowstone could be. I have seen medieval castles, the palace El Escorial, the flea market “Rastro” in Madrid. During the stay we met repeatedly friends of the family – they are wonderful people and the language course felt more like a family visit. After a magnificent week I had to fly home to the UK, I took farewell from friends. My only regret is, that I could stay for one week only!

I spent a wonderful week with Esther, Alvaro and their family in their lovely home on the edge of the Guadarrama National Park. It was a fantastic opportunity to be totally immersed in the Spanish language, learn more about Spanish culture and history and eat really well! Each day was a perfect balance of lessons, conversation, activities and visits.

We spent an amazing week in Nature With the Spanish Family. Esther Alvaro and Their kids gave us a warm welcome and made the week fly by. With morning Spanish lessons, tailored to our beginner level, and "learning by doing" lessons at mealtimes, During games with the kids or cooking in the kitchen and the fabulous During That They organized outings. The mix of culture and adventure outings was great for my 12 and 14 year olds. Their favorite was the rock climbing - mine the visit to Segovia. Thank you for such a memorable stay.
