Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stop on the way to Demänovská Dolina. The Evangelical church is one of the largest wooden churches in Europe (capacity up to 6000 people), it has floors/balconies where there are additional pews. It was moved from the village of Paludza due to the construction of Liptovská Mary. On the spot, it is possible to read information from prepared materials in several languages. Photography is not allowed here. There is no official entrance fee to the place, it is possible to make a voluntary contribution and the locals talk about it in a rather unsympathetic way. One would like to make a contribution to the cash register, but this method of withdrawal was very inappropriate. It kind of spoiled our experience of this otherwise beautiful place.

We made a stop in Swäty križ on our way from Žilina to Levoča. This is the biggest wooden church in Central Europe. It can take up to 6000 persons. We read somewhere that in 1982 when the church was moved to today’s location there were almost 10000 persons (inside?). When we came there the church was closed, but soon two ladies came and opened it. The entry fee was 1 € per person. Photos were not allowed.

Beautiful wooden church near Liptovsky Mikulas. Inside is really large, this was one of two evangelic churches in Liptov. Breathtaking. Definitely worth for a visit.

If visiting this region, this is a MUST see experience. This wooden church was built by a master, who was a carpenter and an architect in one person, however never gained higher education. It is believed, that it can fit around 6,000 people inside. Suitable to host concerts of classical music, very inspirational place for its sacral modesty.

The wooden articular Evangelical church in Svätý Kríž is a very nice church and sure worthy to visit. Good accesible also for tourist groups who are travelling by tourist bus. Original place of this church was village Paludza, but because of water reservoir Liptovská Mara the church had to be moved to the current place.
To be correct - with number of seats i would be careful - church takes almost 6000 persons but that is not the same as 6000 seats. Anyhow i recommend to visit this church.

Wonderfully preserved articular wooden church from 1773. You are going to be surprised how large it is inside (6000 seats) It is still functional.
There is no official fee for the visit, but donations to the church (1-5 Euro) are greatly appreciated.
Open daily from 9am till 3pm (till 5pm from June through September)
Definitely must see.
