A unique experience, but slack management takes the edge off

It was great staying in a place where all meals are included. It reminded us a bit of being on a cruise, where all your needs are met and you can just sit back and relax. The complex is well designed, the rooms are comfortable and the pools are great. What is lacking is a friendly and caring staff. There is little interaction with the staff, and the place generally appears to lack management. Although the building opened only three years ago, one can already notice deterioration of the building and lack of maintenance. As for the food, much of it was excellent, with some notable exceptions. Some of the lunch dishes were dragged out again for dinner, a pasta dish we tried was under cooked, and the deserts all used the same ingredients done in six different ways, basically Duche de leche and a sort of creamy substance. Generally though, there was a large variety of food and mostly very tasty. For dinner there is supposed to be two shifts, but in practice it is just one long shift, and tables are not reset properly, so we often found ourselves sitting at a table with food crumbs. Some communal activities would be a good idea, perhaps employ someone as activities officer, and definitely they need a maitre-di, or someone resposible for the welfare of their guests. I'm still giving this hotel 4 stars as I think it is well worth a visit. Don't leave it too long though as the place is deteriorating rapidly.

If you don't like lots of people in hot spring pools then rather opt for the Almiron Spa Hotel than the resort.
