The town of Ubud, in the uplands of Bali, Indonesia, is known as a center for traditional crafts and dance. The surrounding Ubud District’s rainforest and terraced rice paddies, dotted with Hindu temples and shrines, are among Bali’s most famous landscapes. Ancient holy sites include the intricately carved Goa Gajah(“Elephant Cave”) and Gunung Kawi, with its rock-cut shrines.

Bali has many waterfalls but this one is nevertheless one of the special and completely hidden in a forest of greenery. At first you only hear the sound of water and when you walk further down and WOW. There is the possibility to go through the waterfall but then you have to take off your clothes so only with swimwear.

A farmer saw this waterfall about 5 years ago. Together with the local people the waterfall came to the daylight after moving a lot of threes and grass. The path down goes along the little river in beautiful very quiet surroundings. The local people still work with the place to make decorations in the cliff. All over you see natural orchids. Just nearby you can go down and go for a long walk in the hidden Canyon, but you need a local guide to help you. This place is situated about 7 km from Ubud. Our best recommendations. The path/steps down are really good, even if you have problems with going. You can use a wheelchair but need someone to drive it.
