A peaceful haven to go into and the paintings were exceptional and easy to find on Murano We spent some time inside.. the Mosaic on the floor was quite exceptional and I now know why Singer Sergent painted the interior.

The Basilica is a must see! It's one of the oldest remaining and has the most beautiful interior - including a mosaic floor of marble from 1141. It is simply amazing. Take a Valpretto to Murano. Free to visitors though areas are cordoned off, no...More
