I guess it all depends on your taste - for a modern art museum, the place is quite nice, well arranged and interesting enough. The mirror/lights room is good, but there's normally a big line for it.

A must to go modern art museum outside the Copenhagen center, way up North in Humlebæk. You can easily go there by train in a little more than an hour! The museum is big and placed near the coast. There is a museum shop and a good reataurent too. In the summertime you may sit and eat or drink outside... More

Great day out - we saw a couple of temporary exhibitions, plus their main collection. Well displayed with good explanations. Lovely cafe and sculpture garden. great shop. Get the train from Central Station to Humlebaek (30 mins journey).

Louisiana is one of Denmark's most exciting art experiences in full. The museum always offers a special exhibition within art forms such as photography, print techniques, painting, sculpture and the permanent exhibition displaying talented Danish artists through time. Besides the beautiful seaside location, café and occasional music event, Louisiana offers the coolest design store packed with art books and designs... More

Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is a museum located in the town called Humlebaek, more or less 50 km far from Copenhagen. The town is located in the east part of Denmark. In fact, if there is good weather, you can see Sweden in the other part of the sea. We took the train from Copenhagen to arrive to the... More

For art lovers simply a must! Excellent permanent collection and sculpture garden on the sea shore offers views you will keep in your memory for years. Mostly great temporary exhibitions. Very popular for citizens so crowded during weekends! Nice cafe with sea view.

Beautiful museum, great temporary exhibitions (esp. Bourgeois), but they also have an interesting permanent collection. The sculpture garden is not illuminated and around this time of the year thus only well visible a few hours a day! The cafe is not so well organized and they can improve on selection and coffee. The wardrobe/locker space is also not well thought... More

a simply fabulous hotel in dramatic settings. its an easy train journey from Copenhagen and worth every second of travel. I loved every second we spent in this place and whether its a miserable rainy day (like it was for us) or a beautiful sunny day you'll find the surroundings and adjoining sculpture park totally engaging. The building is wonderfully... More

if you are interested in contemporary art then this is not to be missed. Easily reached via train and then a 10 minute sign-posted walk to the museum. We bought train tickets from the ticket office at Central station which allowed us to buy a return (the machines would only allow you to purchase a single fare) and a return... More

The museum is located about 30 minutes (by car) from Copenhagen and is well worth the trip. The museum buildings and layout are special. Views from the garden and the cafe are magnificent. The art collection is also uniquely interesting and presents a different and fresh view of modern art. DO NOT MISS!!
