Whether you're a serious or 'casual'irder, there is something for you at this beautiful place. The location is accessible although at the same time there's a feeling of remoteness and tranquility. We can't recommend it highly enough; the wildlife is absolutely fascinating. RSPB Staff there will take time out to be of help. AND the shop is excellent!! PS children we saw there were as keen as the Grownups!…

We spent several hours here on a Saturday in October. A great day with friends at RSPB Minsmere, we saw numerous birds, including Bitterns, Bearded Tits, Marsh Harriers, Hoobbys and several varieties of ducks, well worth the money to get in and sveral hours could be spent there seeing many different types of birds.

I took my two grandchildren ( 7 and 8) for the seaside route walk and we had a fantastic time despite the chilly wind. We saw quite an array of birds ( including a Peregrine Falcon)and they loved the hides and the history of the area with old tank traps, the Konic ponies etc. Easy to park with no parking fees and a nice shop and a good cafe which served fresh food and good tea and coffee. Young and old all enjoyed themselves!…

We just enjoyed the birds and wildlife that we saw without expectation, the peace of sitting quietly in the hides and the beauty around us. A tribute to the RSPB and everyone who has worked so hard at Minsmere over the decades. …

Response from Ian B, Visitor Experience Officer at RSPB Minsmere

Thanks for your lovely feedback. This perfectly sums up what a visit should be about - sitting, relaxing, enjoying what you see for what it is, rather than being disappointed because you didn't see your target bird. We hope that you are able to return again soon to experience how Minsmere changes through the seasons.
