The city palace is away from the main city but is worth a visit if you're looking for some water sports. The food is average. Avoid this place on the weekend as it's overwhelmingly crowded.

Alwar always a surprise. Off the beaten tracks in North Rajasthan you should visit the busy downtown of Alwar. The city palace occupied by offices is not a breathtaking sight, but at its "backyard" you will find the hidden gems of the town.

If one has seen enough of kothis and palaces and forts in Rajasthan, then you will find nothing different in the city palace

It could be a nice heritage place, if well-kept. But has been converted into a court campus with litter and pan-stains all around. Seems like no-one cares about this property anymore. Alwar has a great potential to be a heritage city, if the administration could care a bit more.

A huge area and beautiful architecture. Situated in the city. Not much rush. Good place for historical photography.

We enjoyed this view into the history of The royal family. Definitely recommend a guide to make the most of it.

City Palace is the heart of Alwar city. It now houses the Distt. courts of Alwar and other Govt. offices. It is having a Museum on the top floor with a great collection of historical swords and guns. On the back side there is a pond called Sagar and a very beautiful monument called Moosi rani ki chhatri. It is... More

The word palace brings to mind a monument of regal splendor, but sadly, this place has been allowed to run down. It must have been a beautiful palace once - the structure at least is grand. However, decades of neglect have left their mark and the place is run down, and no one seems to be caring for the place.... More

Nothing good in the city palace. Only a small museum on the top floor. Avoid this place if possible.
