We reached here at about Noon and just managed to beat the crowds (the temple is open to non-Jains only from Noon to 5 PM). The temple is very well organised and lets people go in only in batches. Each batch has a temple employee as a guide and the guide explains the significance of each of the 5 temples... More

A delwara temple is a heritage place 1000 year old and temple built from marble with amazing hand carving at that time. A architecture marvel with real art can be seen in small beautiful carving on it.

This is a must visit place, if you are in mount Abu, irrespective of your religious belief. Wonderful architecture with so much intricate details... photography is prohibited. Leather items are not allowed.

The sheer size and workmanship of the Dilwara Temples is the patience, dedication and hard work put in by the hundreds of sculptors in creating this magnificent temple complex all hewn from that rock of marble. The intricate details are mind boggling. One needs to see it to believe.

If you dont hire your own personal guide, tourists are allowed in, in batches like herds, a guide rushes through highlights of the temple, the timeline, little history and rush you out. Photography is prohibited. I wished I had more time with the temple.

We visit the temple and go around in an hour, but to really see and understand this may take a lifetime, such is the beauty, detailing and hidden history /... More
