Heavenly voices

Not so much the architecture which is impressive enough but the thoroughly uplifting chorus from the choir/congregation.....a moment in time, long to remember

What a beautiful building, both externally and internally. Warm and inviting irrespective of the season. Votive candles available at the various altars. Exudes peace, faith and love... a calm and tranquil Oasys in the heart of the town, but evidence of a lively and active church membership. Architecture is stunning within and outside, Bells are splendid. Walk around the back... More

The church of Josselin is not too large nor too small, it is beautifully proportioned. The "vitraux" or stained glass are breathtaking. They also play the organ on Saturday evening, you can walk in and listen, truly an out of time experience. Since the doors are open during the organ session which is at 6, 7 pm, you can sit... More

Had read the reviews about the tower views before visiting today, but it was pouring with rain and blustery so we have it a miss. The church though is absolutely beautiful and has some of the best stained glass windows we have seen. The church has a lovely peaceful quality, with lots of lovely quirks. Free to look around although... More

The tourist information centre told us of the free climb to the top of the Basilica. It was very windy and quite cold, but the views are wonderful looking over the slate roof tops.

We found this in the Place D Mairie where you can walk up the tower for free. The Church itself has several good quality stained windows

A lovely church in a great town .. the tower is free to climb .. the views from the top are excellent .. Shame though that the steps are not a "bit cleaner" .. Josselin has a good market on Saturday mornings .. plenty of free parking .. even for motor-homes .. River-side Chateau .. plenty of walks etc ..

Lovely church worth a visit but especially to climb the tower for spectacular views of the town. Entry is free to both the church and the tower

This is a pretty church with nice glass, but the interior is rather dark. Some interesting tombs. Time did not permit us to climb the tower. In hindsight, we probably should have since we were there on a perfect day for photos.
