Amelia is an old roman town (cisterns, restaurants with roman walls), and is now a medieval town, with surprising things to visit. This tower is imposing and nearly unique, do not miss the museum which has a wonderful statue in bronze of Germanicus.

This Tower is dated from the 11th century. It was built with multi-periods stones. You can see that the stones of it's lower part, are recycled. The upper part is from the 18th century. Its quiet a unique structure.
