After looking at the website, we decided to travel up to the Ginger Factory for a visit. On arrival we found the train had broken down so a school trip that should have been going on it first was bumped up to an earlier factory visit. As a result we had 2 hours to wait. We mistakingly thought the botnical... More

Our visit to The Ginger Factory was a very enjoyable experience. The grounds are beautifully maintained, there are a number of activities to keep children entertained and the cafe menu offers a good selection of choices, for lunches or snacks. We decided to try the ice cream, and I can certainly recommend the ginger chocolate flavour. My daughter and I... More

We visited with our 9 year old and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The shops are lovely, the train was great fun and the rainforest walk beautiful. It rained all day but didn't bother us at all. We had a nice lunch and bought a few gifts. My son and husband had a great time looking for lizards too.

The Ginger Factory is both fun and educational, one of the rare places that manages to pull this off. The kids can have fun on the train that runs through the site while learning about the history and production of ginger. Well worth the visit and the shop has a number of interesting goodies.

I visited the Ginger Factory with my granddaughter today. Its a great place for children. We loved the "Overboard" boat ride which has been recently painted with additions and much better lighting than previous visits. The train ride is always fun on an old cane train, but no chickens this time! Enjoyed walking through the secret garden with all the old... More

We went there on spec. Because it was not a beach day. I just thought a quick lok around and out but my wife had other ideas. Let's do the ginger factory tour. Couldn't say no and I have no regrets. The history of ginger on the Sunshine Coast is very interesting. The manufacturing process was well described and sampling... More

We were very disappointed with this place. Entry is free to the area but that it mostly to look around the shops or the restaurant. But their additional tours are very dissapointing and expensive. Standing on a balcony looking at workers below is not a "factory tour" and is not worth the 15 dollars they charged for it. The "tour"... More

Stopped in at the Ginger Factory on a drive to Brisbane. It was a great little break from the monotony of highway driving. Very family friendly with a play area for the kids. Had lunch which was delicious. I have big kudos for the team as the customer service was top notch. Everyone was very pleasant and with a ready... More
