Our Aurora hunting trips are no longer being offered. Our Arctic Spa experience is however. Our Arctic Spa is in a quiet unspoiled forest setting. There you will be treated to a traditional wood fired Sauna and outdoor hot tub experience plus our pretty little kota where you can make a fire and grill some snacks. Our family of four visited Levi with a very high hope of finding Aurora. We booked a number of activities to increase our chances of success and our 4wd adventure with Paul was by far the best and most reliable option.
Paul picked us up in his 4wd and navigated around weather patterns and cloud-cover to find the best locations to view Mother Nature's spectacle. We were delighted to witness the sky light up and were treated to in depth explanations about the magnetic dance between the earth and sun that creates such a spectacular affect.
I can highly recommend Paul and Levi Foxfire, that night in the depths of the Arctic Circle will live long in our memories.

We did a trip with Foxfires on the last day of our holiday - and it was ended up being one of the best bits of our trip. Paul picked us up bang on time, in a lovely warm car with blankets and water on hand. He was very accommodating of us having a three year old with us (who promptly fell asleep for the entire trip in the nice warm car!) and we set off for the lights. Paul found us numerous different spots to see the northern lights, which we would never have found on our own and was great at spotting activity (again, we would never have known this on our own). He was also brilliant at letting us admire it for as long as we wanted, and we never felt pressured to get in the car or hurry up. Homemade cake and hot tea was a lovely added touch. If you're in Levi or the surrounding area and you want to see the aurora, and have a lovely experience you should definitely go with Foxfires!

Paul was very friendly and helpful in taking us around to all of the best viewing spots. It's important to understand that the weather and the aurorae will do what they will and you can't control it.
I wouldn't want to outright say that Paul has a secret method of making the northern lights put on a spectacular show because scientifically that can't be true. And yet it must also be acknowledged that following the application of his secret methods we saw things in the sky that truly amazed us and exceeded our expectations.
Regardless of where one stands on the issue of scientific fact vs supernatural powers the basic principle is that we would not have seen the incredible things we saw without going on this tour so we would highly recommend it to anyone hoping to see the northern lights!

Thank you adamconroy6 for the super review! I should add that I do not have mystic powers! My Aurora Dance is just a but of fun... However, that said it has worked a number of times!! :-) Mother nature has been very kind to us!

I booked Levi Foxfires after hours of searching for the best way to see the Northern Lights in Lapland during my stay. As described in previous reviews, Pauli and Aggie took us on a hunt led with EXPERIENCE and PASSION. As soon as the tour started I knew without a doubt in my mind that we were in for a treat (also proven by the delicious homemade banana bread they had prepared for us). I booked this tour with the sole purpose of proposing to my girlfriend under the northern lights should the opportunity arise - and sure enough, it did! Paul and Aggie helped position pictures of the proposal with very little notice, and their joy to have been a part of our moment, shows that this tour is being approached and executed for all the right reasons! Thanks again Pauli and Aggie!! :)

We decided to book Foxfires because of their many many excellent reviews - and now we have to add another one! Paul and Aggie picked us up at our hotel and drove us to their favourite place to watch the northern lights. Of course you always need luck with the weather, but be assured that they are as eager to show you the northern lights as you are to see them yourself. We were extremely lucky and saw dancing Aurora above our heads with streaks of purple. Aggie gave as valuable tips how to perfectly catch Aurora on our camera. But you don't need to bring your own, because Aggie takes wonderful pictures during the tour - giving you the opportunity to concentrate on the northern lights and get beautiful pictures of yourself staring in awe at them :). They think of everything and care to your needs and on top of that they are really nice people, whose company you will surely enjoy. We can't recommend Foxfires enough. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon truly magical.

We booked to do a private tour with Foxfires in search for the Aurora Lights and were so glad we did! Paul picked us up from our hotel on time in a very comfortable vehicle and then drove us to his top spots to view the lights, as it had been cloudy in Levi we were not sure how lucky we were going to be but decided to try our luck anyway.
Paul drove us out of town to try his first viewing spot, we sat and waited patiently for the lights to show themselves and luckily for us they did although they were quite faint we were still happy to have been able to see them. We could of happily gone home then however Paul wanted us to try and experience a better show so off we went to another of his spots, after waiting unsuccessfully for quite awhile we returned to the first viewing point where we were again unsuccessful.
The best thing about this tour is that Paul loves the chase and wants us to see the lights as much as we hope to see the lights, so although it was getting quite late we decided to try 1 last stop on the way home and as we turned the corner there they were right in front of us, it truly was amazing and I want to thank Paul because I honestly believe that without him we would not of seen the Aurora Lights.
The tour itself is very relaxed and Paul is great to chat with and was able to answer all of our questions. I recommend booking this tour if you want the best chance to view the lights as I'm sure Paul will do his best to make it happen.

We went out aurora hunting with Paul during our recent family holiday in Levi. Paul was great throughout. He was clear and friendly when we emailed him to make the booking. We had 2 young kids with us and he arranged car seat boosters and agreed to start an hour earlier than usual so we could get them settled in the car for what we thought would be hours of driving around. When we got to Levi the day we were scheduled for the trip was cloudy/snowy. Paul suggested we delayed our trip until the following night when our chances were much better and he wasn't wrong!
When we went out of our apartment to meet Paul we could see bright aurora from our doorstep! We almost thought it made the whole tour pointless but Paul took some great photos of our family, took us out to remote areas, free of light pollution where we could see them much more clearly and fed/warmed us while telling us about the northern lights. All in all, can't fault the experience.

Big thank you to the lovely couple & also owner, who drove us around for 4 hours. ❤️❤️
It was our last night and though we only managed to catch a glimpse of the northern lights, it summed up our honeymoon beautifully and more importantly, unexpectedly ‘bumping’ into a big moose and having the wheels stuck in the snow. Amazing experience!
Ate the home baked banana and walnut cakes to savor and boy we must, it’s so super delicious!!! Thank you for being personable; offering water, blanket and a nice drive! We are convinced, we will be back and this time round, to stay in your accommodation! Till then! With love, Teddy and Laura

We had a very pleasant and fascinating evening with Aggie and Paul. They picked us up on time with their very comfortable car, in which everything was perfectly prepared for this tour. It was a very cold and very clear night and they had everything with them to make us cosy and warm: blankets, tea, cookies, clothes, hand warmers etc.
They know the surroundings of Levi very well and took us to several places where we could actually see Northern Lights. Also the starry sky was overwhelmingly beautiful. They took great photos, which we received by e-mail shortly after.
Compared to other local offers for Northern Light observation this is very individual, comfortable and flexible and therefore highly recommended.

We had a great time with Levi Foxfires. They picked us up from our hotel and we drove away from the light pollution. While we waited for the northern lights, we took fun pictures. Levi Foxfires also took pictures of the northern lights so we didn‘t have to bother with our own camera. It was an amazing tour and I would definitely recommend booking a tour with Levi Foxfires :)

Hi, Tonight. there is a chance of cloud. You could head up to the top of Levi Fell (walk or taxi) it's the highest point for many a kilometer and you might get to see through the clouds. The Aurora are forecast to be moderate tonight.
We are not able accommodate you tonight unfortunately but Wednesday and Thursday as forecast to be clear nights. So there is a very good chance then.
