We almost passed up stopping at this small museum and lighthouse. Fortunately we did drop in, as the experience was certainly worthwhile. The museum is small and displays are not extensive but the folks on duty were very chatty and informative about local history. The young woman who led us on a tour of the lighthouse was also well informed and the lighthouse itself is interesting, especially the giant Fresnel lens that focused and projected the light.

Small, but informative museum and lighthouse. If you're in the area and looking for something to do, this is somewhere to spend a little bit of time. Donations only and a great way to get a little bit of the history of the area. The lighthouse is a real lighthouse moved here from an island off the coast of Nova Scotia. The guides stay with you and explain what you are seeing and answer any of your questions so it's like getting a personal tour.

Cute little lighthouse off the beaten path! You’re able to go inside as well. Free admission too. Took us no time to get here either from Neil’s harbor

Docent is extremely informative. The museum is full of light house information and they can tell stories about the community. And you can go in light house when it is open.

Very picturesque, but the museum/tour was not open when we stopped there in early June. Not far off the Cabot Trail, so worth the quick visit to see this little village.
