A small museum with a very friendly staff. I learned a lot about the life in a lighthouse. The setting is also good.

We decided to take a side trip into Dingwall to visit another quaint fishing village, while driving and hiking the Cabot Trail. Did we ever strike gold! The village was beautiful and the St. Paul Museum & Lighthouse was beyond our expectations. The information and visuals in this community run museum were outstanding. We especially enjoyed the use of displays produced by local people and students. It gave the vibe of a community that was proud of their history and was pleased to work together in order to share it with others. Thanks so much Andrea for such an informative tour. It was easy to get excited about the area’s history when you were so passionate.…

One of the highlights of our Cabot Trail journey was a side trip to Dingwall. We stumbled across this Museum. My husband is a bit of a lighthouse fanatic, so we stopped in. The museum is free, and the interpreters were well connected to both the lighthouse and to the island of St Paul. They had such wonderful stories to tell, it truly brought the lighthouse, the keepers and the history to life. My husband bought the book, Stories of a Lightkeeper's Son, and truly enjoyed it. This place is a gem, and worth a detour off the Cabot Trail to see.…
