We had an unforgettable morning with Daniel our guide and the huskies on a brilliant early winter trip. We were lucky with the weather, with sunny skies, fresh snow and only a little wind. Don’t be in a rush to get there and just go, it takes some time to get the dog teams all ready and to understand how to use the sleds. Before you get going it is also a great time to ask questions and Daniel our handler was great. We had just as much fun with the friendly dogs in the kennels, and watching them get so excited to go out on the trails. We went out early in the season so could not use some lakes (the ice was not thick enough), but the view of the mountains around hemsedal was still exceptional. The trip length was also ‘just right’ with a great loop but not too long where the kids start getting too cold. Highly recommended and a ‘must do’ family experience.

We made a trip with Hemsedal Huskies. Let me start with the good part; the environment is beautiful and the dogs are very nice. We had however (very) icy conditions. The way up to the dogs was already a challenge. We had some elderly with us. Nobody helped. But this was only the start of a very icy and difficult route with the sledge. I must honoustly state that the route is wonderful, if there is enough snow. We had a group of 6 sledges. 3 times sledges tipped over. 1 time the driver was kicked off the sledge, tipped over and the dogs went off with the sledge with our youngest one still in it! It hit the sledge before them and our other son's clothing was ripped apart and he suffered bruises. We were happy that it all went okay, it could have been really bad. The owner did not care much and was busy with his dogs. No apologies, nothing. So please beware that with icy conditions it can simply be dangerous! So think twice before booking.

Together with friends we were for the third time on a huskie-tour. The previous two times we were in Lapland. There catering was included. Here was not any catering available, but we brought some food and drinks ourself. We were picked up in Hemsedal by a taxi bus. Our group of 2 families, (10 persons) enjoyed this trip very much. The owner was very relaxed and friendly. He took all the time and the views were amazing. We could switch from driver as many times as we wanted. Several times we had small pauses, so we could take pictures. Took some great pictures. Highly recommended!

We chose dogsledding as a family experience, with our three children (youngest 13). Collected on time from outside Hemsedel ski centre and taken to location. Met the dogs-all very friendly.staff superb We were provided with outer layers which we needed as it was a bit cold (about -7C). Excellent guidance and instruction before we set out for about 2 hours with our guides. 2 of us were each given our own sled with 6 dogs so we swapped drivers half way round. We had so much fun sledding around the Norweigan wilderness, and also learnt alot about the environment and huskies from our guide. Really great adventure. Thank you.

This was my first tour with huskies and I have to say, that it was absolutely amazing experience. I recommend that to everyone who likes dogs, nature and adventure. Really nicely done tour with experienced musher and 6 lovely huskies. You can either be passenger in the sled or you can drive on your own! Perfect, perfect, perfect! Thank you Hemsedal Huskies!
