A breathtaking experience

Wonderful and nice place to visit , the landscape is breathtaking , it easy to conmute especially by car ( 10 minutes way from Villa de Leyva ) the entry price is affordable , and the trekking signs are easy to follow , you spend around 2 hours visiting the different lagoons

Nice, short and easy walk. In the way you find pine trees, wonderful sceneries and lakes of different colors.

Nice place to walk around, trees and breeze create a great atmosphere. Hiking is not demanding just enough to enjoy the view.

An interesting place that you can stop at on a horseback tour, but don't expect too much. If you come in the summer you can swim there, during off season it's a 20min stop

I had highest expectations, the reality is: expensive 10k plus not include the transportation, around 10min by car from the town. You are going to see 6 ponds, when you realize those ponds has a shape not naturally made but human invention. It’s when I thought I payed just to enter and see water in the soil, didn’t have any color special, anything remarkable

Great place to visit on a nice day, the lakes are beautiful and have many colors to them. There’s a decent length of a walk to and around each pool, I recommend bringing water and an umbrella for shade. The fee was 10k COP per person. Plan a form of transportation ahead of time because taxi’s can be unreliable here. However if you enjoy walking it’s not too far from town.

Nice but tough

Beautiful sightseing, the walk back up to the parking lot is VERY tough and there are no warning signs for disabled visitors, pregnant women, people with heart conditions, senior visitors or small children.

Sorry but not paying to see a lake. Too many other things in Villa. Did feel it was a bit of a scam, but i guess people do anything to make money

The pools are not bright blue, the area is not beautiful. It's a scrubland area with some artificial pools. That's it. It's really nothing.

Bad reviews I nearly didn't go. But we loved it

Having read the bad reviews on here, we nearly didn't go, but we were glad that we did as we loved it. Yeah the ponds are nothing special, and I have seen better. But the overall location is beautiful and we got some lovely photos and memories.
Perhaps our expectations were low after reading the reviews. But we were pleasantly surprised. Its cheap as chips and was a nice day out.
