I came up here by car after a short walk thru the village. Now in winter I was the only visitor. Probably much nicer in spring when the fruit trees start flowering.

The fortress was somehow not easy to reach. If walking, comfortable shoes are recommended. However, once there, the views over the town and its valley are stupendous.

We visited the tourist office in town and they highlighted the map and said to walk up. It was quite a steep and strenuous walk for us oldies but we managed magnificently. What everybody needs to know is that there doesn't appear to be drinks...More
