About
Nestled in the Blue Mountains on the shores of Georgian Bay, there could be no better place o play the game you love, especially when the game is being played on a 7,100 yard championship layout, co-designed by PGA Tour professional Tom Lehman and Canada's premier golf course architect Thomas McBroom.

Elope at Lora Bay Beach
Oct 2020
Elopement Location on the beach at Lora Bay is ideal for intimate ceremonies. Beautiful waterfront backdrop with mountain views and stunning fall foliage. Bring your officiant and photographer and you're all set.

Beautiful course!!
Oct 2020 • Couples
Gorgeous course nestled between a ton of beautiful homes. One hole is atop a cliff and you hit down to the green. It makes a 185 yard hole about 150. Lots of fun!

Public trac w outrageous “members” dues considering amenities.. but fun to play !
Jul 2020
This golf course had issues maintaining conditions season to season. That said, the last couple years the course has been kept up. There is no locker room. (Really). The patio is ok. Should have some sort of pergola over the entire area. Food is avg.. nothing great.. (it should be FANTASTIC) pro shop / golf staff was friendly and great. Service staff not so much. The course is a great layout and is real fun to play .. LOVE THE BUNKER SAND !!! It’s SO consistent. New homes going in is a bit of a distraction but the area is BOOMING !! and isn’t a big deal. Green fee is a little steep considering ..golf now usually has some great deals in the winter months. All in all it’s a well laid out, fair test for all players and a well conditioned golf course now. Keep it up Lora Bay... make the food spectacular and I’ll rate the place great ... no locker room is a bit ridiculous.. considering the annual dues for “members” of a public track !

Great Golf and not so great food
Oct 2018
The course is really good and very beautiful. Right on Georgian Bay to the west of Thornbury by a few kilometres. However the food is not great, I would played and split to the Bruce Wine Bar that does great food and the best Fungi Pizza in the land.

Fathers Day outing
Jun 2019 • Couples
Played this course for the first time beautiful course , for the cost of the round there is no hole layout pictures. Unless u know the course it is a guessing game as to how the holes play out. Also we were there on the Father’s Day outing all four of us are fairly good golfers and they just kept pushing us and telling us how far ahead or behind we were I didn’t realize we were playing on the amazing race and to rush to get to a check point . Beautiful course very unenjoyable experience for us.

A Mark O'Meara Course
Jun 2018 • Friends
A very well kept golf course, a resident professional and a well stocked pro shop, eighteen holes well designed. It is challenging for all levels but has four tees for each hole so you can play a short course or a longer course as you wish.
The club house has a good restaurant, licensed of course, to relax after.

More sand please!
Sep 2018 • Friends
This is a very nice golf course with a challenging layout. But if you are going to play, don't expect premium conditions for the premium price (on Fridays and over the weekend). You should be able to find savings through UnderPar or other discount/savings sites. Based on my experience with similar golf course options, this course should not cost more than $80 per round any day of the week. The biggest disappointment: the bunkers - they are badly in need of a sand top-up and maintenance around the perimeters. And be sure to know your distances as yardage markers are hidden and very few sprinklers are marked. If you can stay out out of the bunkers and stick to the fairways, you will enjoy your game.

great design

Terrific golf course in cottage country worth the drive. Combo it with other courses in the area for a weekend trip and you can find a good deal.

Dramatic holes at times with big elevation changes. greens are in mint shape. It's one of those courses you really need to play more than once to figure out what to hit off the tee as there are some blind shots. Unique and multiple traps - they don't trim the grass on the edges so you are better off in the sand.

The lake is visible on some holes, but I hear they aren't allowed to chop down trees so the views could be better.

One of the nicer clubhouses you will find. great bar and food.

Very poor Breakfast
Jul 2018 • Friends
Yesterday, on July 25th ot was my 3rd visited at Laura Bay for Breakfast. My experience was very deceiving. I did not sent review on my previous visite, butvthis time I have to do it. It pook like that who ever is the cook there do not know how to prep and cook EGGS. Each time, either the omelette or like yesterday, the simple scrambled eggs, were terrible. I will be a shame for a institution like Laura Bay, to have such a very low quality food presentation and quality. I will never go back there. Please be proud of your self. Teach your kitchen staff on how to make a perfect breakfast.
