Honestly, I was expecting a bit more. I like the walk up had it not been for all of the cars driving up and down the road forcing the crowds of hikers to try and squeeze past each other. The temple itself was like most small temples in the area. It's location next to the reservoir is nice and the... More

The main temple complex is under construction. But that didn't stop everyone from going. I think it was a celebration day because it was decorated with paper lanterns. There are so many trails in the forest and Moutain leading to other temples. Just clear your mind. Pick a direction and go.

I went to Oeosa temple because I read some nice reviews on this website. The temple was quite unimpressive, it was only slightly larger than the average one. The reason for this high rating can be found in the pond&trails surrounding it. There is a large number of trails that start at the temple, some a steep climb and some... More

Allow yourself time to hike up to the higher elevation temple buildings and/or around the (dam-created) lake on which this temple sits. (We weren't able to do this, which is why I hesitate to rate our experience as "excellent.") Bring or buy some crackers or whatever to feed the fish off the small bridge out back, especially if you have... More

It is one of those places in beautiful natural surrounding where you are calmed. The temple is placed close to a lake the color of which looks green under the shadows of the hanging boughs of trees. The mountain behind provides a dramatic backdrop; if you look carefully you will another temple up towards the top. the courtyard is full... More

This is a magical place. The main temple is just the start. Cross the bridge and go up the mountain behind the lake to see another gem up the creek. Then make sure you climb the mountain behind the temple to see the other temple up on teh mountain. There were some monks around which made it very awesome. I... More
