Family skiing trip in February. Great family friendly place for beginner and intermediate skiers. 4 hour lift pass was 20 EUR for a child and 24 EUR for an adult. At peak times the queues to the ski lifts can be long, so a 30-point-card might be the better option. Will come back next year.

We started to walk the 4 km hike up to the peak but then thankfully decided to take the gondola (last run at 4:30 PM). There was plenty of hiking and exploring at the top which was nice and then we had lunch at Eisenseiner Hutte. The whole area was full of local tourists and families. Good food and no more expensive than any other restaurant. There are two restaurants that were very busy. I had the deer special which ran out by 1 pm. After this we continued on to the Rissloch waterfall. Again, glade we took the gondola (13 euros RT). Parking was 3 euros for all day.

Our intent was to go up the Grosser Arber with the cable car, but after driving all the way over, we were very disappointed to find it was closed, although the view was nice and I'm sure would have been even nicer from the top... Luckily, the Grosser Arbersee -- a picturesque lake surrounded by forest -- is right nearby, so we went there for a walk around the lake. Although it was already mid-April, the lake was still partly frozen and there was snow all around, so it was great for the kids.

Nice resort for family skiiing. It missis a bit of fun when half of pists closed due to bad weather. Rodelbahn is good but a bit disorganized - start and finish is far away and bus transport is a little complicated. Service is resort very good, acces too. Recommended!

Lift ticket is reasonably priced for the small area that gets skied out very quickly. The runs are filled with mogels by noon, and the lift lines can get pretty long. The kinderland is very steep, and often over crowded, the Restaraunt near the kinderland has good and reasonably priced food, but the service is slow, you have to track down a waiter to get service. Getting a table inside is virtually impossible, the ski schools have the majority of the tables reserved for kids in ski school. The ski schools think they own the slopes and will cut in front of you on the lift... with 15 kids....
