Impressive sand formation - shaped by the currents of two seas which meet right here. Lovely beaches and nice island housing a lighthouse. The southernmost top of the island of Sicily - a must if you are touring the area by car or bike!

Visited here today. Totally rank. The smell of sewage in the car park was enough to make us retch. The beach area is thick with rubbish and bottles, a huge disappointment. So let down, we were expecting somewhere beautiful. Photos of the depressing car park...More

One place to visit. Enjoy the feeling of being between two seas, like being cast in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea!

Absolutely stunning. The beach is quite big so don't stop next to the kiosk where it's really packed.

The return boat ride cost us 5 Euros each. There is huge potential in this Island but its not used properly. We tried to snorkel there which wasn't that bad. The water was really warm. A lot of local people go there for the day.

Straightforward enough to find, and a pleasant walk along the beach from the small car park to the sunken causeway that leads to the Isola delle Correnti and thus the southernmost point of Sicily, and thus Italy; some 5,500km from Trieste in northern Italy. Great...More

The most southern spot in Sicily. Lovey gulfs on each side of the island, on which you can find an abandoned fortress to explore. I'll give warning that there are algae fields in some places in the water and therefore in spots it can make...More
