This castle is unique in Romania due to it's history and the size of it. It's quite impressive once you see it and you will definitely take loads of pictures. The tour will take you a couple of hours as there is plenty to see. If you visit Romania, you should definitely put it on your list.

It was an interesting place to visit, one of the most famous castles in Romania. Lots of history everywhere, the view from the main façade is incredible, cool place to take great pictures. When I went there it was extremely cold and snowy, I bet during summer the experience can be even greater.

One of the best preserved medieval castles in Romania. The torture chambers really gave us goose bumps!

A castle with a spectacular architecture. The entrance prices are: – 20 Ron (January, February, November, December) -25 Ron (March, April, September, October) -30 Ron (May, June, July, August) For a guide (which I strongly recommend to get) is: 30 Ron for Romanian 50 Ron for English

The most beautiful medieval castle in Romania. Constructed in 15th-century for John Hunyadi. As one of the most important properties of his. Built in a Renaissance-Gothic style. Magical place. This castle need to be seen if you are in RO. Also very close to Parangu, Retezatu mountains which hide other Romanian surprises.

One must know that this is the only touristical place to see in Hunedoara. The castle is quite nice, you can still feel that medieval spirit but it's not something as fabulous as a castle in Germany for example. A ticket costs around 5 euros (full price) and you can purchase an audioguide in multiple languages. Another interesting thing is... More
