We’ve assays wanted to visit a tea plantation and this estate was perfect en route to Galle. The guide was knowledgeable and a proper character. We loved learning about the tea process and the cuppa on the veranda ( with chocolate cake )
The old factory was fascinating as were the old pieces of machinery still in use. We tasted and purchased tea in the shop at the end , mainly to support the estate but also as a memento of a great couple of hours.

We absolutely loved our visit to this very special plantation. Had a great tour which was just the right length for our hot kids who at 8 and 11 didn’t exactly have a tea plantation on their list of to-dos!
Plantation is extremely beautiful and on our little walk we saw lots of tea plants and also wildlife and herbs. Factory was really interesting too. The tea and amazing cake on the verandah was really welcome (kids loved it!) and the tea tasting was incredibly well done too with all the different teas available for tasting - again something the kids really enjoyed.
Others have said the teas are expensive. All I can say is that in the UK they would cost a lot more so we certainly bought quite a few.
A really fun visit for the whole family and easy to fit into the day if you’re in the Galle area.

Never ever did we have any idea about tea and just what was required! This was an absolutely hidden gem and was just amazing. Thoroughly recommend this as a visit. Actually got to see tea being sorted and then tasted the product you just can’t ask for more!!!

Wow! A hidden gem! What a lovely afternoon and how much we learned. Looking at the plants, learning about the types of tea, seeing the processing plant, a cup of tea and chocolate cake as well as tea tasting at the end.
Please buy tea when you’re there as the tour is free and this is least we can do to repay a free, informative tour.
Thank you to all.

Driving through small local villages and communities describe closely how's life on Sri Lanka. Plantation is beautiful and peaceful place you should visit and learn more about tea. Delicious tasing (cake and tea), guided tour through the plantation were very educative and interesting. You'll se the factory inside and on the end - you may taste tea samples to choose which one is the best for you. It's not about the one - you should buy more. All are delicious planted with love.

We spent a lovely morning here guided around by the Manager David. He gave us a so much information and clearly loves the place, more than just a job. We saw lots of spices and wild life during our walk.
Fascinating story of the history of Tea and the White Silver Tips.
A beautiful cup of tea with excellent cake was enjoyed @ the owners residence, followed by a tour of the factory which was also extremely interesting. This followed a venture into the Tea Shop where the many teas manufactured were available for tasting and purchase. Which naturally did.

The place is beautiful and the tour they offer for free is extremely interesting: it covers info from planting to processing, showing breathtaking antique machinery that is still in use nowadays. They even offer a tasting with a slice of cake in the patio of a beatiful cottage, everything is organised with love and care. The shop is full of temptations (gorgeous products) and if you are lucky, as we were, you will meet the founder of this perfect place. A must go if you are in Galle or Unawatuna, we went by motorbike and it was really worth it!

This was an amazing visit of this family tea estate - we came without previous notice (in the Covid era - we were there completely alone) and the manager showed us around, explained the tea planting and tea making process...he spoke a good English. The tour, which was free of charge (tip if you liked it), was finished by tea tasting - we could taste every single tea they sell and then buy what we liked. :))

Fantastic little trip. Enjoy having a walk around the plantation and seeing how the process of the tea making takes place. Free guided tour and then buy some tea at the shop. Worth the trip.

Your comments are very carefully noted and in the first instance let me tender our unreserved apologies to you for the inadequate service.
Let me try to explain. We start our tours at 8.30 in the morning and there is an unending stream of visitors who at most times are given an individual guide, speaking German, French Russian and a few other languages.
We are very reluctantly compelled to have the last tea and cake service at the Proprietors bungalow at 4.30 pm. The tour of the factory and the plantation can go on till 5.00 PM. We have visitors arriving after 6 O' clock sometimes.
If you can tell us the time you arrived and the date we can take corrective action.
However I renew my apologies to you.

Like I said you should be flexible when you know that visitors are coming. The traffic conditions are tough now and your staff should not keep calling and saying that they have to go off so please make it before 4:30. That was so dissapointing, at least with a greeting on arrival and a small explanation that its too late for a tour of the estate would be nice, then they could at least show the guest a brief tour of the productuon area and bungalore will be a memorable one isnt it. Its all about being service oriented and caring that makes you top of your game. We as guides see the good and the bad of services around Sri Lanka, and just hope that Sri Lanka brings back that always smiling people service back that we are seeming to loose slowly and surely.
No worries will try once again to visit your estate with other clients again. Thanks for your feed back and Good luck for the future. My regards, Tony.

We want to visit your estate end March this year. We will come by train from Colombo, which will arrive in Galle by about 10 am. From Galle, we will come by car to your estate. Can we visit the estate at any time or are there specific times? Do we have to make a prior booking to visit? Thanks

We are a family of 11 members including 5 adults. All adults and 2 kids are Sri Lankans by birth. Are we allowed to visit the estate? And how will you guide us if yes?

Hi Ahamed
I was just a visitor like you. I don't know their policy on race. All I can say is that I'm still enjoying their tea.
Good luck
Steve
