Via Spluga or Spluegen pass is very close to Lake Como Italy, spanning to Stuttgart Germany in the Alps. It is a classic hiking route.

The shortest connection between Stuttgart and the lake of Come is via the Spluegen Pass (Via Spluga). Do not try during the winter months as it will most probably closed because a lift is going across the street leading to the pass. Take your time...More

Wunderfull tiny road, Just driving thru the spluga pass. A lot of nice nature. A well spent day, driving in the mountains at 2115 meter.

Nice trekking from Montespluga to Campodolcino. Fairly easy. Nice lunch at village restaurant in Isola.
