We neglected the Falls as a stop off for dinner for a long time. Not sure why? Probably because its neighbours in the village of Connel by the only tidal salt water falls in Europe where the hotel gets its name from are so good...More

Its a smashing drop in and it has a centre you can have a coffe or tea but the falls are magic water running over hugh boulders I took the kids and the will never forget it.

I never, EVER expected to see a fall NOT coming from a mountain. This fall just starts in the middle of the river. The only thing is that you can take only a quick peek from the bridge when crossing... :(

Just back after a few days away to Oban. We stayed here and it was lovely . The food was great staff very friendly the rooms had a lovely view over the lock. Nice large rooms to sit and enjoy drinks after the meal ....More

another beautiful attraction to see. the lovely views all around. amazing. We were on a coach trip so the driver told us all about it. very interesting.

The rapids at the Falls of Lora are quite impressive to look at. One reviewer said the are not Niagra Falls but then they are not supposed to be but they are fascinating to watch.

Standing at the edge of very fast swirling water watching canoeists battling their way through the swirling waters and afterwards watching a mock rescue by the very people who watched over the canoeists was both exiting and exhilarating.

Stayed at the Falls of Lora Inn located on the river and near to the falls. I couldn't believe these are considered "falls" as they are so minimal! More like a large ripple in the water. Had I driven here just to look at this,...More

failing that go to the sea life centre in Barcaldine they have a pair there and are wonderful to see.
