I have seen the reflection photo of the old castle and the real image didn't disappoint in any way. The gardens were gentle and my husband felt really relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Lovely castle. Great for all ages. Places to eat are ok but not much variety in food. Also pricey. Great walks too.

Lovely historic property with large gardens, historic house and castle with moat. Great vistas with lots of photo ops. Worth the drive. Nice garden shop and tea room.

The garden is very unusual in that it is not flat and has some quite steep slopes but the view towards the old castle is magical. The house has not been long fully opened and is gradually being restored but certainly worth a visit.

Walking around the grounds you will be fine there are some hills so will work out the calf muscles haha but in the house it would probably be best to leave the pushchair downstairs

Hi. Yes you can take a dog as long as it's on a short lead. If you don't have one they will swap it for you at reception.
