Domain Wienbach is a real pearl among Alsace wineries. Centuries of history, coming back to 1612 Les Clos de Capucines origin. One of its terroirs, the 2012 Gran Cru Schlossberg, has been named among Top 5 of Alsace Riesling 2016 Vivino Wine Style awards. Well deserved. The domain has great atmosphere, staff is polite and helpful. Do not forget to... More

We visited Weinbach for the first time even though we have been to Alsace more than 25 times. The wines on the other side we enjoyed at home and on restaurants several times before. This old monetary is in itself a fantastic place to see. On top of this you are welcomed with a smile and offered an extensive tasting... More

The Domaine is in between Keintzheim and Kaysersberg. There is no tour but a very comprehensive wine tasting of one of the best wine makers in the area including their Grand Cru Riesling. We got to taste the Pinot Gris, Gewurtztraminer, Eau de Vie and finally their Vendage Tardive which is their late harvest wine. The tasting was free and... More

With my wife, we visited Domaine Weinbach in the end of January 2013 and had one of the greatest tasting ever. However we made tasting request via e-mail, we were just two and all what had happened to us was just amazing. Tasted basic rieslings as well as their vendage tardives and sweet (and very expensive) wines. Than we bought... More

If you visit the area, you MUST visit the Weinbachs, and try their amazing wines. They are expensive, but worth every penny. Buy at least one bottle and save it for something truly special. The most amazing wines, the most amazing hosts.

We visited this domaine with friends. Run by three women this property is at the foot of the Schlossberg Hill. Beware, the wine is very expensive but it is still worth a visit and a small taste can't hurt anyone. The wine is of excellent quality and the domaine is breathtaking.

To enjoy some of the world's best wines sometimes you have to make an effort. We drove 700 miles to sample these magnificent white wines, particularly their Rieslings. One on our list of vineyards to visit, Domaine Weinbach was always a must do. An appointment made and a week later we were greeted by the effervescent Catherine, who gave us... More

Outstanding wines served in a magnificent setting. Not easy to find though since the signs does not say Domaine Weinbach (well at least not that we could see). Wines are not cheap but absolutely fantastic. Worth a detour.

We visited this winery in search of fine rieslings - and we got them! This is a very expensive place to shop wine; but the quality matches the wine. The attendant, who was in charge of the tasting was very competent.

We have visited Domaine Weinbach twice and both times it has been excellent. You don't have to make an appointment in advance, but we did one of the times, and that worked very well; there was more time to take care of us and smalltalk. The wines are absolutely wonderful and Catherine is a fabulous host. The wines are not... More
