Beautiful watergardens
May 2021 • Solo
Incredible that these gardens were created in 1758 ! The grand canal on top of the hill delivers the needed pressure to make the water features work. It takes an hour to visit the gardens. Plenty of parking space across the road.
But I found the entrance price of 9,5 € a bit too steep.

Quite surprised visit made my day
Sep 2020 • Friends
Very interesting place for a midday visit in Annevoie-Rouillon water gardens. Tickets are not given (9,5€ for an adult, 5,5€ for a child) but in a sunny day it is nice 1 & 1/2 hours spent. Even nicer car road longing La Meuse from Givet in France to Rivière

wonderful water gardens
Aug 2020
Excellent water gardens. Well kept grounds in a very nice layout. Built as a water garden with lots of fountains and other water features. Great to visit on a warm day because the water makes you feel cooler than it actually is. Also you can get a spray of water here and there.

Beautiful and Peaceful.
Jun 2019
A very beautiful water garden which offers wonderful scenarios in a calm and peaceful setting. I was lucky with quite few visitors at my time of visit.

There are some birds and insects to witness if you´re lucky.
Also a lot of free parking spot on the other side of the road.

Ingenious, peaceful , well designed
Sep 2019
These gardens with the clever use of water from springs have been flowing for nearly three centuries . They are beautiful, peaceful and well maintained. The kitchen gardens in particular were stunning in the early Autumn. There are many ancient tress and two enormous Red Beeches which are 250 years old. The Chateau is under going
repairs but what a stunning view they must have from those windows across the large
Pond. It is a place to wander and take your time to enjoy the well designed aspects and views. There are places to sit and enjoy. The cafe is not so grand with basic food only.

Beautiful and tranquil
Sep 2019
Visited with cousins who live nearby. It was a lovely sunny day and we enjoyed the gardens very much. Love all the water features/fountains. A swan on the main lake and a black swan on another. Plenty of ducks. The kitchen gardens are fabulous. We took about an hour and half to walk around. Unfortunately the chateau was covered in scaffolding but I imagine it would be a wonderful sight. Well worth a visit. Had beer and cup of tea in the cafe and a cake. Self service. The girl boils a kettle for the tea, it’s diy! There were only three other people visiting.

Fabulous Water Gardens
Sep 2019
Definitely worth a visit. I have never seen anything quite nlike this before. Attached to the Chateau they are a large network of canals, Lakes, ponds and fountains all fed by gravity. I think whoever owns these is struggling to keep them up to standard but all the water features are working. When we were there the Chateau was undergoing extensive restoration works. It would be interesting to see it when these are complete. I do not know who owns the gardens but definitely worth a trip. There is a self service cafe attached. I would not recommend this but sadly there appears to be nowhere else in the vicinity to get refreshments.

Beautiful experience
Aug 2019
We started by having lunch in the self-serve cafetaria there. They have not much different foods, but it's a cute place. They sell sandwiches, wraps and a stew to eat, with pie and muffins as dessert. The gardens are really pretty. They planned out a route though the gardens, with a map that offered interesting facts and stories of little viewpoints in the gardens. It's a nice place to quietly stroll though, have a nice date, take some pretty and aesthetic pictures. I'd recommend this if you are able to take a long walk, not easily bored, or if you really like nice gardens and taking pretty pictures.

Big empty garden
Aug 2019 • Couples
It is a big garden but not so attractive. The castle was under renovation works. There are many fountains in ponds without decoration. Trees and grass were well kept. There is a self service restaurant on the 1st floor just before the ticket office where you can see the garden from its terrace.

Lovely water gardens
Jul 2019 • Family
A beautiful place with stunning water gardens and flowers. The kitchen garden was in full bloom and looked fabulous. Accessible with a pram but gravelly and one steepish hill to bare in mind, though none of that hindered a wonderful visit!
