One of the most beautiful castle ruins I have ever seen. This place is so beautiful, you will easily fall in love in Pieniny and this area of Poland. From the top of the castle views are breathtaking. Parking is about 450 meters on foot from ruins.

Czorsztyn is across the lake on the less developed side. It seems much older and definitely with genuine historic feel compared to the Niedzica castle on the opposite side.

Although preserved in ruins, it enjoys excellent views from its highest parts.

On warm sunny days the lake below is full of all kinds of water craft which depart from the little jetty just north from castle on regular basis.

It is really just a ruins but quite a bit more that just a rubble. It is open for visiting and you can do it 2 different ways. You can take a boat across from Niedzica and back or you can drive to Czorsztyn and visit. We really enjoyed walking the old walls and specially the you get to the top levels views over the lake and towards the NIedzica castle are grand.

Free parking for 1,5h if you visit the castle (7 zl adults 3 zl kids).

A few boards are translated to English. I encourage to translate all of them. Not only will our tour last more than 28 minutes but we will learn something.

Many thanks for the moment.

An amazing view may be seen from the top of the castle. We may see the lake czorstyńskie, an another castle and many beautiful mountains like Tatry Mountains if the weather is nice. The Castle of Czorsztyn is a nice ruin with nothing interesting in it. But the view is worth seeing.

This castle is located near to an artificial lake and dam but the views are really incredible. For 5zl you can walk around the castle without a guide and read about the history of the place and have plenty of time to take in the scenery and take photos. This is one of the best castles I've seen in Poland, and for that price you really can't complain. Highly recommended.

Parking nearby is paid for (and costs more than the castle). If you don't mind a walk, you can park for free further on but the road is quite steep

Czorsztyn is viewed as the 'other' castle, as it's on the less developed side of the lake. But it's a great place, left mostly in ruins, with a genuine historic feel that the more popular Niedzica lacks. The little taverna at the base of the castle serves up wicked good pierogies and cold salads too. If you are taking the time to see Niedzica, you really should cross the lake and enjoy this gem of a castle.

We spend few days in Czorsztyn. It is a great start point for trips to Pieniny National Park. There is a ruin of castle, romantic lake, few restaurants and hotels and nice shepherd's hut, where you can by deliciois cheese.

The castle ruins are the best attraction. You have to climb the stairs up the castle to visit the renovated parts of the castle. Beautiful building and amazing view for the lake and Niedzica Castle.

Great place to relax, far away from city noise and pollution. Ski lifts available approx 2km away, lovely views of mountains, lake and 2 castles on both sides. I guess this is a great place to start trekking and have a dip in the beautiful lake during summer months...
