About
Laguna Dudu is an exciting and mostly unknown paradise located on the north east coast of the Dominican Republic. It's surrounded by natural cliffs from which to swim, snorkel or free dive into refreshing clear waters. If you love adrenaline rush then try a zip line freefall from 10 meters. You may need to take a deep breath for this adventure. Once you finally takeoff for a subjective six seconds drop in thin air, and finish with a big splash. But it's also a spot worth visiting for it offers a cave to explore, a beautiful cove with other challenging experiences. There are stairs leading down to the water which enables smooth and easy access to both lagoons. With nature to explore and plenty of photographic spots. A visit to Laguna Dudu can easily be combined with two additional beach activities since it's located within minutes between two playas (beaches) Diamante and Arroyo Salado. Your next adventure awaits you. Come, explore and show us your favorite spot.

If you want an authentic DR experience, you just have to take a country drive to the Rio San Juan area and experience Dudu. So much fun & relaxing while taking in the really cool laguna as well as other caves that have been fitted for a vacation/tourist experience. Food is available but it's more for the getaway than dining.

This is a park complex, with three different pools. One has a zip line going over the top, and that’s become a spectator sport. Participant whizz down the line, and at the sound of the operator’s buzzer, have to let go and drop quite a few feet into the water. Fun to watch.
The second pool is down a flight of steep steps, and at the weekend, when we visited, it was very busy with loud music blaring. But just behind he kiosk and loudspeaker is the most beautiful pool, where no one can swim. Very photogenic, but boy, those fish must be grateful when the ghastly music is switched off each evening.
It’s 350 pesos for foreigners to enter the complex, and a little less for the locals. There’s also a restaurant serving the usual stuff. The chips were particularly good.

Make sure you are not cheated with the entrance fee! Today we paid DOP 700 for two of us. Seems it is not a fair price.
A lot of yelling people. Terribly loud music.
The place is good but is not worth DOP 700 and a long journey.

This is really the all time favorite of natural spots to visit on the North Coast! Make sure you go early on a weekday to have the beautiful lagoons and green areas for you and your group. Its a very unique place found nowhere else.
Its just around 4 dollar to get it and spend all day!

Kids had a ball jumping into the lagoon and exploring the park. Son-in-law took the Zipline plunge.
Lunch at the Restaurant was fresh and very good. Beer was ice cold.

We stopped by the Lagoon for a short visit as we weren't interested in the zipline. The entrance fee was only $4 and we visited the cave and swam in the small lagoon. Crystal clear water and little birds flying into nests in the stone. The grounds are very pretty and when we went (earlier in the morning) there were no crowds.

I lost my GoPro during the zipline, and had to stop looking since the bus was leaving.
If anyone finds it (it was a GoPro hero 5 in a waterproof case), could you please send it to me. I'll gladly pay for postage and throw something on top of it as well!!

Hi, on occasions our divers will come across items in the deep murky bottom. As of yet we found a GoPro 3 in it's water casing.

Hola!

Hi Maja, best for you!
Don't know exactly the way to get Dudu Lake from Las Terrenas, but surely, there are "guaguas" with this section and you can drop off in front of the main entrance. To know: the entire price from Las Terrenas to Sosúa or Cabarete is about 10-15$, maybe this part of section have less price. Regards. 💕

I need to know if you can book a tour of this if you are on a carnival cruise to Amber Cove?

Do not book a tour. Go yourself. It is safe enough in that area, and they will charge you like $60-$90 when you only have to pay $5 to get in.
