About
The Arboretum of Arco is a strip of the archducal park created in 1872 by Archduke Alberto of Habsburg, Emperor Francesco Giuseppe’s cousin, near the archducal villa, when Arco was the winter residence of the Imperial Austrian Court. The Arboreto, whose vegetation, originating from various continents has been thriving due to the mild climate of Arco, still holds some species planted by the Archduke, like the majestic holm-oaks and the great conifers, the Lawson cypress and the huge sequoia.

This is a small but inetresting arboretum. Needs further investment to assist the work of the gardeners.

Lovely park

We piped in here with friends from Arco who showed us around. It’s a lovely park with various trees and plants peaceful with ponds scattered around even with terrapins. There’s an outdoor cinema area as well. Nice to visit for tranquility

An evening walk
Jul 2019 • Friends
This is a beautiful place set just in front of town. It is a great place to sit and enjoy the evening. With sculptures and a verity of plants placed around. A lovely little playground for the children to play, and a cafe nestled in the tree for refreshments. Just sit back and enjoy.

Peaceful break from bustle of Arco
Aug 2018 • Family
At the bottom of one of the trails from the castle, the Parco Arciducale is a tranquil place to see various unusual trees or watch turtles sunbathing. The turtles are very tame, happy for people to get close as they seem as interested in us as we are in them. As a public park, there are no entrance fees, and you can spend 10 minutes or an hour enjoying the peace.

I recommend ti visit this green gem in Arco. Lake with turtles, bamboo "forest" or Palm micro forest are just awesome. I saw a avocado tree here for a first time.

This was lovely, the park is so pretty and seeing the turtles was amazing. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Great for any age. You don’t see anything like this is England.

Beautiful small park with small turtle pond. Quiet place with many benches to rest and enjoy the tranquility. A little hidden on the way to mountain. Free entry. Worth to take a look.

A lovely walk through nature in town center
Jun 2016 • Friends
It is a small arboretum but a nice place to visit on your way to the Castle or back, if you need a break. You can relax, enjoy the natural shade and get away from the summer heat. There is no entrance fee.
