Most of the reviews below are for Abergavenny- which Im sure is beautiful - but this is Usk. When you are in USK, ask about Adam of Usk and his memorial. He was very significant in British medieval history and it's crazy not more is known of him. The church organ is a Father Willis (I believe) and attracts many... More

A lovely parish church, in a lovely little town. Worth a visit whilst in Usk. Nothing outstanding in the church worth a mention.

Can't comment on the inside as there was a funeral. The outside is very impressive. Good condition building. Nice grounds. Good photo opportunity

Free to visit, and the volunteers very enthusiastically give an individual tour with lots of information on the history. The collection of sarcophagus (monuments) we were told is the biggest in Wales! Beautifully looked after. For an Australian visitor, a great introduction to our Wales trip.

Incredibly preserved graves, tombs, and other medieval artifacts, including a church bell from the 1300's. Free admission, but please give a donation if you can, as they upkeep everything at their cost.

What a lovely church with so much history, would recommend a visit when in Abergavenny. The volunteers there are extremely helpful and its right by the tourist centre.

One of the few priories not destroyed during the reformation and dating back over 800 years. Entrance is free although donations are encouraged. The very friendly guides offer a lot of help in understanding all of the mediaeval relics and a guide pamphlet is available (free) along with other guides that you can buy. The 14th C Jesse carving and... More

The tombs and the carvings have to be seen to be believed. The huge carved oak is magical. The graves set in the floor, the memorial plaques on the walls, and the very ancient bell are so poignant. How did this place escape Henry VIII malign influence?
