As I live so close to the park I really haven't appreciated it until now. Walking around there this morning seeing all the vibrant colours has really opened my eyes. The effort that has been put in to restore the pond to its former glory is brilliant. Top marks for a top location just outside of the town centre

Aberdare park is not the biggest, but is great for a little stroll around. There is a playground for children and a duck pond, where at times you can make use of the paddle boats. There is a small cafe with toilet facilities. There is limited car parking spaces outside of park, located on Glan Road, which can get very... More

I love coming here in the summer with my family, the park is perfect place to to if you want to go for a picnic and take the children. It's a very clean place and also has a cafe that serves hot and cold snacks and very reasonable prices

Accidentally bumped into Aberdare Park whilst looking for 'Aberdare Country Park', which I now know it's actual name is called Dare Valley Country Park (DVCP). But Aberdare Park is only small but is very pretty. It has well maintained paths wrong the park and through a garden area with plenty of seating, a duck pond with newly laid tarmac around... More

Family friendly. Improvements ongoing. Excellent support from the community. Pond cleared and hopefully boating reinstated. Looking forward to a splash park. Cafe needs to be prepared for larger groups of people. The bike racing brings a lot of people and money into the community.

Lovely park for walking the dog or taking the children to the play area. The park had a lake that is under refurbishment to have rowing boats again. There is a shop/ cafe in the park where you can purchase tea/coffee an light refreshments. The lark had tents courts and a green grass bowling green. On a nice day families... More

Lovely place , just such a shame people in cafe thought as much about quality of service rather than earning an easy fast buck. You can't buy quality!! Also felt embarrassed how management spoke to staff in front of customers. It was belittling and degrading way to treat young adults trying to earn a simple living.

A great place, wonderfull in all seasons to walk or jog around , shame the kids paddling pool has been left in disrepair by the council tho, but there is a great play park , just a nice space in Aberdare town .
