When a wine tasting expands to having lunch - this is a great place to be. Menu offers simple but expertly prepared foods to compliment the vino of this winery. Acclaimed modern architecture draws upon views of mountain ranges framing vineyards whilst the owner operators see to your every need. We loved everything but the bread - white and fluffy... More

First time at Chrismont and we will definitely return. Stunning views across the valley from the expansive glass windows. I had the penne tossed in napoli, garlic and chilli prawns. The chef had taken great care with the tomato sauce and had obviously not rushed the cooking, giving a beautiful depth of flavour and not too spicy. My partner had... More

The service was amazing. The menu explained and we were encouraged to share meals. The main courses were enormous, so between 6 of us we shared a few entrees and 2 mains. It was all delicious. The food and wine was all very reasonably priced and with the fabulous service, it was a great day out! Highly recommend! We will... More

Returning to dine at Chrismont, we leapt on the polenta chips when offered (ex menu) and were pleased to have slow roasted lamb shoulder still on offer. The polenta chips were served with a generous scoop of ailoi, and the lamb with roast peppers and potatoes (and it was slow roasted--we were told it had had fourteen hours). Unfortunately I... More

We visited one day to try a few local wines and returned the next day for lunch. Stunning location in a modern building looking through huge glass windows to the mountains beyond. You can sit indoors or outdoors. We could not fault a thing! Great service (thank you Jane who took the time to explain the menu to us and... More

This is the North East at it's best. Chrismont has recently opened their new cellar door, a stunning modern building perched over their vineyard, with stunning views down the valley. Stand on the balcony and enjoy the views whilst sipping some of their fabulous Italian varietals like Arneis, Tempranillo or their luscious Pinot Grigio. Better yet, slip into the restaurant... There is absolutely nothing to improve upon- rarely said by this food gypsy. We shared the squid accompanied by petit manseng and the duck with Marameno Frizzante were superb. Next the mousse and cheese with fragolino- fabulous. Service was warm, knowledgeable and active. The building and scenery sat together comfortably. Arnie and Jo were marvellous hosts. The best in the... More

Dropped into this place as they were packing up. Was welcomed with open arms. Stunning view, stunning service and absolutely fantastic wine with many interesting Italian Varieties. Will be back to take in the view, try the wines and hopefully the restaraunt.
